Biography

Sunita Yeomans is the Course Leader for BA (Hons) Graphic Branding and Identity at London College of Communication. Alongside her Course Leader role, she is also a Trustee of MK Gallery in Milton Keynes, where she advises on their branding and marketing.

Sunita began teaching in 2015, as a natural progression to her very full career as a Graphic Designer and Creative Leader. During her professional career, Sunita has worked as a freelancer, a designer in agencies and also in in-house design teams, at high-profile corporate retailers including Boots, Argos and Tesco.

Working in client-focused roles, Sunita has developed a wealth of experience leading creative teams that have included brand managers, graphic designers, stylists, art-directors, photographers, copywriters, set builders and even a chef. Along the way, she won ‘best annual reporting suite 2010’ at the CorpComms awards, as well as judging the prestigious Design Week Awards and Benchmark Awards.

In addition, Sunita has co-founded two graphic design businesses, Designing Information and SSHY Creative. SSHY Creative works for all sorts of clients in all sorts of sectors, including Argos, Ford and Habitat.

Having graduated during the same year of the introduction of the Apple Mac (1991), Sunita was an early adopter of the technology, being one of the very first designers to hand over digital artwork to the printers.

She is a strong believer in design effectiveness, and works relentlessly to demonstrate the value of design, with a proven track record of changing non-believers into design advocates. Her favourite word is bravery. Sunita champions diversity and hopes to encourage students to feel brave enough to use their creativity to change the world for the better.
