Biography

Dr Sevil Yesiloglu is the Course Leader for BA (Hons) Advertising at London College of Communication (LCC).

Sevil is Associate Fellow HEA and enthusiastic lecturer brings research led teaching into classroom and help students gain critical analysis skills as well as practical skills within digital advertising discipline.

Sevil’s research covers digital aspects of advertising including online harms, brand related content, influencer marketing and social media usage.

Her recent projects cover:

  • Online harms and regulations
  • Brand related content and social media
  • Influencer marketing: building brand communities and engagement

Dr Sevil Yesiloglu’s first edited book covers evolving subject influencer marketing which investigate different elements of brand community building and engagement (Routledge 2020).

Before joining LCC, Sevil was a Senior lecturer at Bournemouth university and visiting lecturer at University of Southampton teaching units including digital consumers, digital media practices, Digital futures and Digital Communications.

Sevil gained her PhD at Bournemouth university thesis titled: ‘To post or not to post: Examining motivations of brand/product-related posts on Social Networking Sites’.

Now, she continues to work on digital marketing communications related research fields including social media, digital consumption, copyright issues on social media, influencer marketing.
