Biography
Romero Bryan has joined the team as lecturer on BA (Hons) Design Management at London College of Communication. He is the Chairman and Creative Director of his own namesake brand, a wardrobe stylist and freelance PR and marketing consultant for beauty, fashion, and lifestyle, as well as commercial brands.
Romero graduated from BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology at London College of Fashion in 2005. Soon after he launched his own independent womenswear fashion brand.
To date, Romero’s designs have been featured on several global platforms, including Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, as well as heavily featured in top global fashion publications, Vogue and Tatler to name but a few. Over the years, his creations have been worn by high profile women including Michelle Obama, Destiny's Child, Mariah Carey and H.R.H Queen Rania of Jordan.
Since then Romero has accrued an immense wealth of both industry and life experiences, via working, showcasing, and teaching in over 145 countries. Eager to share his knowledge with future creatives, Romero successfully completed a PG Cert Academic Practice in Art, Design and Communication in 2018.
Romero is a member of the Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), and currently working on his MA Academic Practice in Art, Design and Communication. Romero continues to expand his teaching portfolio via delivering UAL Short Courses, and with UAL’s Insights Widening Participation programs.
Always up to date with industry and technology trends and advances, Romero brings research and theory together with practice via his existing creative roles: which ultimately influences his pedagogical approaches. He is an active contributor and collaborator to Teaching Within, Shades of Noir, The Centre for Race & Practice Based Social Justice, UAL.
