Learning skilfully: Creativity across borders
10:00am –12:30pm      Thursday 19 March 2015
Join this interactive session to explore how creativity has been measured across time and place and to unpack your own ideas of creativity in the 21st century. You will be given the opportunity to explore how definitions of creativity are fostered in different cultures as well as share your own experiences of creative practice and answer questions about who is creative and who gets to decide.    Book a place here

Researching skilfully through archives and objects
2:30pm – 5:00pm      Wednesday 25 March 2015
This is a practical workshop where you will have an opportunity to explore real museum objects and archive material from illuminated manuscripts to work purchased at the 2013 degree shows. Through a series of short activities you will learn how to handle objects, read objects and interrogate archive material. At each stage we will be encouraging you to examine your habits and decision-making processes when enquiring and researching.   Book a place here

Thinking through Drawing
2:00pm – 5:00pm      Wednesday 25 March 2015
Are you struggling to communicate your ideas visually? Would you like to be able to use drawing and sketching to facilitate ideas-generation and help you plan out your work? Do you feel that a lack of drawing confidence might be restricting you creatively?
In this three-hour workshop we will revisit drawing skills and consider what it means to ‘see skilfully’. We will look at various drawing methodologies to consider how drawing can help to think through conceptual ideas, to work through a brief, and to expand and support thinking and creative practice.   Book a place here

Exploring ‘stuckness’
10:00am – 1:00pm      Friday 27 March 2015
Stuck on hard topics? Not sure what to do next? We all get stuck at some point, whether learning to do something we find challenging, running out of inspiration and ideas, getting confused about the next step to take, or simply doubting our ability to meet a new demand.
In this Lego Serious Play (LSP) workshop, we explore why stuckness happens, when and how it has happened to you, and what to do when meeting these challenges in the future, in order to help you to manage stuckness skilfully.   Book a place here
