Biography

- I am an experienced art and design educator with a strong track record of curriculum design and delivery across Further and Higher Education, teaching both home and international students in in-person and online contexts
- I have a proven track record in driving academic achievement and advancing student progression to diverse undergraduate pathways
- I possess exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, dedicated to creating inclusive and engaging learning environments
- As Engagement and Progression Director, I manage the progression process for the School of Pre-degree Studies, including applications, decision tracking, and reporting to key stakeholders; coordinate the alternative offer process to ensure timely student progression; maintain data integrity by resolving duplicate records; facilitate effective communication between admissions, academic teams, and colleges; provide advice and guidance to students; and support staff development through training and resources
- I have undertaken international recruitment trips (including Ukraine and North America), working closely with in-country managers, reviewing student portfolios and supporting applications and conversion to UAL
- As Course Leader and Programme Director, I led on developing quality improvement plans and annual course monitoring reports, contributing to the UAL Further Education Self-Assessment Report. I directed continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring robust quality assurance, attendance tracking, learner engagement, and student voice feedback processes
- I have completed the UAL Developing Potential course. Modules included: Person-centred Development; Inclusive Leadership; Performance Development; and Leading through Change
- I have a strong commitment to learner safeguarding, with thorough knowledge of the University’s statutory safeguarding requirements and policies, supported by completion of UAL Designated Safeguarding Person training.
