Alice retold…
Pirelli has released images from their 2017 calendar which features Naomi Campbell, Slick Woods, Lupita Nyong’o, Adwoa Aboah among others and was styled by incoming Vogue editor Edward Enninful. Shot by renowned photographer Tim Walker, the calendar is a retelling of Alice in Wonderland with Ru Paul as the Queen of Hearts. While not the first time Pirelli has featured an all black lineup the calendar has been praised for ensuring that diversity is at the top of the fashion agenda. Super stylist and editor Katie Grand has been confirmed as contributing fashion creative director at fashion tome W magazine. The newly created role will absorb the responsibilities of departing editor-in-chief Edward Enninful. Grand, who also works with Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu, Prada and numerous publications, will remain as editor-in-chief of Love, the publication she founded in 2009. The Evening Standard reports.
The Oscars of fashion week…
Sustainable fashion champion Livia Firth has announced The Green Carpet Fashion Awards which will take place at Milan Fashion Week. The awards will be the first to celebrate the supply chain, with seamstresses, mills and textiles being recognised as well the brands. Vogue reports.

Stella McCartney launched her aw17 collection with a shoot and accompanying film shot at a Scottish landfill site. Ethical designer and campaigner Stella McCartney used the campaign to raise awareness of man-made waste including 300 million tonnes of plastic each year. Fashion & Mash discuss the campaign.
100% your style on paper…
Love Island has apparently gripped our wardrobes as well as our TV screens as Lyst reports an increase in sales of body con dresses, thong bikinis and cycling shorts. Searches for thong swimwear are up 120% and 1800 people searched for grey mesh dresses according to Harpers Bazaar. Crack on.
