Last Friday LCF hosted a study tour for the first year students at Istanbul Moda Academy (IMA) – one of LCF’s long term collaborators. The students are in their first year at IMA in Istanbul and came to London to experience what life is like at LCF.
The students are all on the Fashion Design and Technology undergraduate programme run by IMA, with whom LCF has been collaborating for over a decade, supporting their Fashion Design course, as well as other programmes.
As part of their visit, students attended a Cultural and Historical Studies lecture entitled the Great Masculine Renunciation. Following this they went to Liberty and Selfridges to do some retail research and look at examples of fine tailoring. The students were then taken to the design studios at Curtain Road, where they were given a bespoke tailoring workshop by the Peter Cox.
