London College of Fashion, UAL’s new home, East Bank on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (QEOP) is a public park open 24/7. Built with community safety in mind, millions of visitors come to the park to visit the world class venues and sporting facilities, enjoy the beautiful green biodiverse landscapes, go for a run, take the dog for a walk, cycle on the bike routes and going for a bite to eat in the local places to eat.

The Park was the first in the UK to achieve Secure by Design accreditation, which is the official security initiative that works to improve the security of buildings and their immediate surroundings to provide safe places to live, work, shop, and visit.

WiFi on the Park

There is free WiFi on the park and inside many of the venues, so you can stay in touch with friends and family when you’re on the Park’s surroundings. LCF’s new building will have a separate WiFi connection you can log onto with your student credentials.

24/7 CCTV and Security Patrols

There are more than 150 CCTV cameras in use which provide comprehensive coverage across the Park and are monitored 24hrs a day all year round, alongside regular patrols by uniformed staff.

Lit routes and numbered lampposts

The routes on the Park are well lit and the lampposts have a unique number on them. If you get lost or need help, you can call 0300 2012 222 and let them know the number of the lamppost so they can find you easily.

If you are planning to be in the Park after dusk then it is worth planning your route in advance, as some areas in the north Park are deliberately less well-lit at night to promote biodiversity habitats. We also recommend letting people know where you are going and the route you are taking.

Route changes and alterations

With lots of construction around the park and major events taking place, routes can be changed or altered, so stay up to date with the latest developments on the QEOP Visitor Information Page at www.queenelizabetholympicpark.co.uk. There are also Information Points located on the Park and the closest point near our new building is located at the entrance to the south of the Park by the London Aquatics Centre.
