On Tuesday, Nike came in to chat to LCF’s students to encourage them to apply for their paid summer internships in Portland, Oregon.
Hosted by LCF Careers, Nike told the audience of young designers about what work experience with the company can offer them.
Betsy Parker, Executive Talent Scout for Creative, told LCF News why Nike are keen to work with LCF students:
“We first started working with LCF and the Centre for Sustainable Fashion on Nike’s Making app. This was a real collaboration that worked out beautifully so we’re really keen to continue to work with LCF as people who are interested in the things we’re interested in; the environment, incredible design and innovation.”
Betsy added:
“LCF students are interesting to us because of the specific courses they do as well – they cover so many areas: sportswear; footwear; accessories; as well as the menswear and womenswear courses.”
