For the 14th consecutive year, the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association (CTPA) has presented awards to LCF’s MSc Cosmetic Science students.
Dr Emma Meredith, a Head of Science at CTPA, attended the course committee to present the awards, which consist of six bursaries totalling £6000.
Two students in each year of study are recognised by the Cosmetic Industry via the CTPA. The prizes recognise the two best students in year one; the best student in year two and the best improver from year one; the best project report from industrial placement and the best presentation of the placement experience, as judged at LCF’s Cosmetic Science industry day.
Dr Meredith said that CTPA was proud for being associated with LCF and the BSc Cosmetic Science course from the very beginning. She commented that its graduates have a very good standing within the Industry, as illustrated in the 2012 CTPA Annual report which featured the professional stories of five LCF Cosmetic Science alumnae. Now that the course has flourished into an integrated MSc, the organisation is excited to see what the new post-graduate delivery will offer.
