Back in February we announced a collaboration with Liberty London – a challenge for three cutting-edge LCF graduates to create, contemporary pieces from the Liberty London Fabrics SS18 Alpine Symphony collection. This month, pieces from each designer will go on display in-store, alongside an exhibition showing their work in progress.
Designers Fotini Handra, Joseph Standish and Daniel Pascal Tanner were challenged to create directional and contemporary pieces from the Liberty London Fabrics SS18 Alpine Symphony collection.
The three were given exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the Liberty design studio, where they were shown the creative process behind the collection, from concept to final composition.
This access has previously been reserved exclusively for brands that Liberty has worked and collaborated with including Loewe, Paul Smith, Yves Saint Laurent and most recently, Richard Quinn. From this, the designers had three weeks to complete their designs.
From Friday 20 April to Friday 4 May, the pieces will be on display in the store’s Haberdashery department alongside an exhibition documenting the designers’ work and how they chose to use brand’s Tana Lawn cotton to create their final designs.
