Friday 28th January marks the launch of LCF Unfiltered, a new podcast developed and hosted by LCF alumna, Roisin Cummins. LCF Unfiltered aims to give a platform, safe space and voice, to people of colour, whilst highlighting the immense talent and skills that are often undervalued. In the first series, Roisin chats with current LCF students and graduates about their experiences at uni and within the industry.

As a person of colour within the creative industry herself, Roisin has seen and experienced first-hand how POC creatives are often overlooked and misunderstood, with a lack of diverse people in high positions within the industry. Racism is a widespread social problem and the structure of the fashion industry makes it harder to raise issues of representation, racism and inclusivity.  Together, we aim to let our strongest voices be heard and this is exactly what LCF Unfiltered is all about - it is not a podcast to cancel or to exclude anyone, instead it’s a chance for us to collectively learn, educate, understand and demand change.

The first two episodes feature the experiences of Ashley Lloyd, Basmah Malik and Shola Adejare, all alumni of BA (Hons) Fashion Technology: Womenswear.
