Simone Palstring is from Germany and studied MA Fashion and the Environment (now MA Fashion Futures)

What and where did you study prior to your MA at LCF?

My education in fashion began with an apprenticeship for tailoring and fashion design back home in Germany. After working for seven years in the fashion industry I decided to start a higher education and did a BSc. in Textile and Clothing Management at the University of Applied Science in Moenchengladbach, Germany.

What are your future plans?

In future I will surely work in the sustainable area of the fashion industry and continue my research into the various areas of sustainable practices, especially in fashion forecasting and future studies.

What advice would you give someone wanting to study PG at LCF?

Be curious and enjoy your studies. Work on a personal project which has meaning to you. If you believe in sustainability for fashion, choose the course that teaches you to think outside of the fashion box.
