Daniel Yuste studied MA Fashion Design Technology Menswear and is from Spain.

What and where did you study prior to your MA at LCF?

I did a BA degree in Fashion Design in Barcelona. I also did short courses in Graphic Design which combined into a baccalaureate in Arts.

What inspired your graduate collection?

I’m always seduced by nature. The colours and shapes that nature and its creatures give are the main source of inspiration. The aesthetics of sportswear also play an important role in the design of the pieces, it is a mix of Olympic sports and nature and how they can work together. “Insectivore” is the title of my graduate collection and it is the study of the beetle and the qualities it has – the designs are created through the cleanness of the insect in colour, shape and textures.

What are your future plans?

My main goal is to evolve as a designer and grow within the Industry. I will definitely consider setting up my own brand in the future because it has always been my dream. But I think the best pathway I can take now, is to start making a place for myself  in Fashion by working for a company.
