On Tuesday night LCF’s Fashion Business School hosted a panel discussion at Bloomberg Business which explored the impact of fashion on the future of UK business and commerce and asked the question ‘When Does Fashion Mean Business?’.
Chaired by Francine Lacqua, editor at large of Bloomberg TV, the esteemed panel comprised of LCF Head of College Professor Frances Corner, founder and director Anya Hindmarch MBE, Sergio Bucher Vice President of Amazon Fashion EU, Carol Bagnald Senior Executive Director, Commercial and Private Banking HSBC and William Swann, Content Director for the European division of Coca Cola. Discussing topics such as the benefits of the internet, networking, building teams and knowing and living your brand ethos the event proved to be a lively and engaging discussion that offered expert advice to graduates and business start ups.
The audience also heard from LCF Alumni Marc Hare, Emma Jayne Parkes of Squid London and Florence Adepoju of MDM Flow who shared their stories and asked for further advise from the more established panel.
The evening was so full of interesting points and top advice that we will be posting excerpts over the coming week so please do keep checking LCF News. You can also follow the debate on Twitter #FashionMeansBusiness.
