LCF Undergraduate Class of 2023 celebrated our world-class undergraduate students from across our portfolio of courses in east London's Protein Studios. An exclusive catwalk show launched the opening of the showcase, followed by salon shows, exhibitions, networking breakfasts and more. To continue the celebrations, viewers can browse work from this year's graduating cohort on the UAL Graduate Showcase. We're recapping on the events at Protein Studios, highlighting some show-stopping moments from the BA (Hons) Bespoke Tailoring and BA (Hons) Fashion Contour salon shows.

“Our 2022-23 cohort have shown their own individual creativity in addressing sustainability and inclusivity as well as considering the future possibilities and opportunities for Fashion Contour. Utilising the skills learnt over the last 3 years to translate their forward-thinking ideas into fully realised innovative outcomes. We are very proud of them." - Nicola Johnson, Course Leader BA (Hons) Fashion Contour

"This year our Bespoke Tailors articulate the craft through their diverse client selection, which celebrates individuality of anatomical form through cut, innovation, adaptation and materiality. All conceived through creative conversations and collaborations." - Daniel Poulson, BA (Hons) Bespoke Tailoring Course Leader.

This year, BA (Hons) Bespoke Tailoring students collaborated with luxury British textile manufacturer,  AW Hainsworth & Sons, who worked closely with three final year students to weave and finish a bespoke length of Fine Merino Double cloth to the student's individual jacquard designs, which they then incorporated into their collections.

In addition, winners of the LCF x Scabal 2023 Final Year Awards were announced. The award for 'Tailoring Excellence' was awarded to Ceri Linehan who created her collection for client, Miligan Brewster, which was immaculately handcrafted in denim and washed waxed cotton. The award for 'Bespoke Innovation' was awarded to Pakjira Setthapen, who played with exploding cloth details, intricately applied to tailored forms. They were awarded based on their outcomes of a final major project, with both graduates awarded £1,500 and £500 Cloth Vouchers from Scabal, as part of a longstanding collaboration which will continue into the future.
