Ahead of our move to Stratford, we continue expanding on our work within the local communities of east London, in the boroughs surrounding the new LCF site. Below we share some of the highlights from this year’s outreach programmes and our work in east London.

LCFxTheHeatwave

A group of freshers, were invited to work on a live brief with The Heatwave – an east London dancehall music collective in the summer. The students had one week to design outfits for The Heatwave’s dance troupe, the Stage Invaders for a pre Notting Hill Carnival show at The Forum Kentish Town.

Arcade East

Situated in the heart of Hackney, Arcade East is a new project space developed to highlight digital practice and innovation. Over the summer the space presented a themed season of events and installations, showcasing pioneering work in the fields of design, making and ideation, including ‘Smell the DJ’ with Matthew Herbert.
