LCF News: Tell us about your final collection?
Scottacus Anthony: My collection was inspired by military uniforms of the Hussars and Cuirassiers, with a British raj twist coming through in the playful, vibrant colours. I played with the idea of tailoring, creative pattern cutting and innovating digital prints. Decoupage treatments were applied, creating tangible layers and 3D relief sculpture.
LCF News: Where did you study prior to your MA at LCF?
SA: My creative background is in sculpting. That evolved into a BA Fashion degree at Arts University Bournemouth.
LCF News: What are your future plans?
SA: I would love to eventually have my own label, showing at London or Paris Fashion Week.
LCF News: How do you think the course will help you to realise these plans?
SA: The course team under Nigel Luck’s leadership has provided invaluable support and encouragement.
LCF News: What advice would you give to anyone considering studying an MA at LCF?
My advice would be to have a break between your BA and MA. That time to reflect and grow as a designer outside of academia is indispensable… and obviously just have fun.
