London College of Fashion, UAL is hosting LCF x LCW, an exhibition of footwear, accessories, jewellery, tailoring and fashion artefacts, in Fashion Space Gallery as part of London Craft Week’s 2022 programme of events.

Visitors to LCF x LCW will explore the past, present and future of craft, from the traditional to the technological, through a carefully crafted body of work by staff, students and alumni from MA Footwear, MA Fashion Artefact, BA (Hons) Fashion Jewellery, BA (Hons) Bespoke Tailoring, BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear: Product Design and Innovation and BA (Hons) Cordwainers Fashion Bags and Accessories: Product Design and Innovation.

"Craft and craft work are, as is all art and design, perceived and practiced in multi-faceted ways and this display features work from across all of London College of Fashion’s renowned craft courses. Often, what distinguishes craft is visible in process and production. From the artisanal to the hobbyist, all are valid and valued. LCF x LCW offers visitors the chance to discover unique, personal creations of rarity, refinement and exquisite execution.” - Rob Philips, Creative Director at London College of Fashion and Curator of LCF x LCW

"As a bespoke tailor, I feel like the word ‘craft’ means me; it means everyone who practices bespoke tailoring as a trade. It means every artist, maker, baker etc. who wakes up everyday and decides to make something that will make someone happy." - Takudzwa Chigaduro - BA (Hons) Bespoke Tailoring alumna and Carnaby Street Tailor resident.

LCF x LCW will take place at Fashion Space Gallery between 9-31 May - find out more.
