Professionals from the fashion industry and business experts have been presenting a host of workshops as part of LCF’s Graduate School Festival.
The Graduate School Festival is a week-long series of events focused on employability and enterprise to help prepare each post-graduate and MA student to find their career after their course or launch their own business.
Recognising that any exciting new enterprise will survive only if the numbers add up, entrepreneur consultant Johnny Martin, presented “Know Your Numbers”, a workshop designed to help budding entrepreneurs secure financial success whilst doing what they love.
Also guiding budding entrepreneurs, was LCF alumna and Global Sourcing Manager Demelza Galica with her workshop “Costing a product” which taught young designers how to value their raw materials, works content and shipping, and how to establish their all important margin.
Simon Dixon, founder of Bank to the Future, spoke to students about Crowd Funding their creative projects, whilst UAL’s own Made in Arts London taught students how to pitch their ideas and SEE engaged with students over the financial support they can offer new UAL enterprises.
