To celebrate Black History Month, throughout October we will be sharing projects by our students, staff, alumni and associates, to acknowledge and celebrate Black history and culture in all forms, and its impact on fashion and education.

Black History Month is an important time of year – a time to educate ourselves and improve our knowledge and understanding of history, as well as a time to celebrate and share black culture and platform Black talent. At London College of Fashion we believe it’s important that our Black community are authentically represented all year round, so we will continue to use our platforms and the space we have, to listen and learn, educate and celebrate.

If you would like to share your work with us and enter a submission for this project, please send it to us. Additionally, if you have any questions about the project or would like to share your story with us then please get in touch. Keep up to date with the takeover on the LCF Instagram using the hashtag #LCFBHM.

To find out more about how we are working with colleagues across the colleges please see UAL’s 10-point plan, which will enable us to make swift progress across the whole of the university.
