Biography

Silva Hrabar-Owens is a lecturer on the BA (Hons) Fashion Buying and Merchandising course. Silva qualified as an accountant straight after completing her Masters degree in International Finance, but soon tired of simply juggling numbers and decided to pursue a career in which the numbers were more relevant. Loving design and style, the natural step was to move into fashion. Now with nearly 20 years experience in the industry, working for the likes of Topshop, Asos and Boden, Silva has launched her own fashion brand. Under Her Eyes was born of the desire to deliver fashion in a better way, better for consumers and the planet. She is a mother of 3 and also the Chair of Home Start Lambeth; a charity that offers support, friendship and practical help to families with pre-school age children. Home Start Lambeth also specialise in domestic abuse training to help and support women in difficult relationships.
