Kirsty Nevett is a Lecturer in Marketing for the Leadership and Management courses within the Fashion Business School and leads the Year 1 Marketing Management Unit. Kirsty specialises in teaching Marketing, Innovation and Retail across both Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. She also acts as Year Tutor and a Final Major Project Supervisor.
Kirsty spent 20 years working in the fashion industry initially in Retail and Buying & Merchandising and then in Business Development and Innovation working for companies such as Harrods, Lyle & Scott and Gloverall. Her academic career commenced in 2016 as an Associate Lecturer, taking on a full-time role with London College of Fashion in 2017. She graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a BA in Business, focussing on Marketing then completed a postgraduate MSc. in International Fashion Marketing.
Kirsty’s embarking on a PgCert in Academic Practice in 2022 and hopes to follow this with a MA Academic Practice in Art, Design and Communication to further continue research interests in pedagogy, student experience and innovative learning. Kirsty’s marketing research interests lie in social retail, strategic communications and ‘beyond influencing’.
