Biography

Eve Lin is Programme Director Integrated Studies at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London. They are a fashion researcher, educator and multidisciplinary practitioner whose work examines power, knowledge production and design cultures within fashion education and the wider fashion industry.

Eve’s work brings together East and West philosophical perspectives to examine how fashion, identity, power and cultural meaning are produced and performed. Their wider practice engages with reflective practice, embodiment, material culture and thinking-through-making in relation to fashion education and creative research.

Eve trained in womenswear at Central Saint Martins, completing both BA and MA study between 2004 and 2009. Their creative work has received international recognition, including ELLE Taiwan NewGen Designer awards and Red Dot Design Awards for publication and educational innovation.

Their publications and projects include Practice of Fashion Drawing, Revision: An Autoethnography Study Toolkit, and a chapter in The Future of Fashion Education: Speculation, Experience and Collaboration. They are also co-editing Shaping the Future of Fashion: A Research Companion forthcoming with Routledge in 2026.

Eve’s work advocates for more inclusive, reflective and transformative approaches to fashion education and practice, grounded in lived experience, critical enquiry, collective care and creative practice.
