Biography

Beki Gowing is a lecturer in fashion enterprise and leads business plan creation units for final year fashion business and communication students. She began working in John Lewis & Partners' fashion and homeware buying teams, before launching the textile design studio Print & Press London where she worked with brands including Jigsaw, The White Company, the Royal Opera House, Open Mike Productions, Liberty and the V&A. Beki has a Masters degree in Creative & Cultural Entrepreneurship and a PG Cert in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) informed coaching, both from Goldsmiths College, University of London. She runs For Creatives, a business coaching and consultancy service for small and micro creative businesses looking to launch, grow, or get out of a rut. Her coaching specialisms include work/life balance, goal setting, values identification, and coaching for new leaders/employers. Through For Creatives and LCF, Beki has worked with many different entrepreneurs to support them at all stages of their careers. She is particularly interested in business model innovation, product/service development, collaboration, new product/service launch strategy, and developing personal and team leadership approaches.
