Biography
Aasia D’Vaz-Sterling is an Associate Lecturer who is highly passionate about academia and entrepreneurialism. Aasia has a unique perspective of the MA Fashion Entrepreneurship and Innovation course as a recent graduate. Her admiration for its unique delivery has motivated her to gain accreditation as a Team Coach to further implement the Team Mastery ethos that the course champions.
Aasia has a long background at London College of Fashion, gaining a First Class degree in BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear before moving onto this Masters course. Her interest in consumer culture helped her to carry out her MA dissertation which explored the Opportunities that Open Banking could provide in helping fashion consumers to make more financially mindful purchasing decisions.
Aasia recently completed an ‘Innovators for Sustainable Fashion’ accelerator with Cambridge University to develop a Fintech app. Alongside this she is using her experience in fashion design to launch her own start-up brand.
