MR PORTER x LCF

Online luxury retailer, MR PORTER, represent an increasingly broad vision for men’s style, with the biggest names in grooming, sportswear, watches and world-class designer brands. They believe in taking a responsible approach to style, from reducing environmental impact through to nurturing emerging design talent.

LCF’s expert consultants worked with MR PORTER on their aim of breaking down barriers to accessing design careers in the fashion industry. LCF advised on the design and development of a mentorship programme, and provided expert mentors and fashion business professionals to support the selected creatives.

The programme fulfilled the purpose of:

• Making the fashion industry more accessible to those who are not based in the traditional fashion centres or have not received formal training or education.
• Supporting sustainable business development by providing MR PORTER as a global platform for visibility and sales.
• Providing bespoke support and contacts through a network of expert mentors and coaches.

MR PORTER FUTURES resulted in:

• Three businesses provided with support to develop a capsule collection launched on MR PORTER, with a commitment to stock their brands for a minimum of two seasons.
• All of the brands developed business confidence and knowledge from the support provided by LCF.
