Details of all LCC Green Week 2014 events are online now, including information on how to book for events where spaces are limited.
This year as part of a UAL-wide programme of events, LCC Green Week includes 25 free exhibitions, workshops, talks and installations (more than any other college) that unpick this year’s theme of survival and investigate how designers, filmmakers, journalists, photographers and communicators are responding to the issues of our time.
A chance for students, staff and alumni to explore ethics and responsibility in relation to their disciplines, LCC Green Week also provides an opportunity to network, share best practice and work on briefs with some of the world’s leading organisations and individuals exploring sustainability issues.
Joining a growing list of conscientious communicators working with LCC this year are The RSA, National Trust, D&AD, The Occupied Times, Materials Council, Design Council, the Creative Conscience Awards and many more.
Events open to the public include; Life on the Road, an exhibition including photography from Tom Hunter, a showcase of design activism from BA (Hons) Graphic and Media Design students, an environmental photography show held by LCC alumni, and a screening of Brian Hill’s 2010 documentary, Climate of Change, hosted by MA Documentary Film students.
