London College of Communication opened its doors to hundreds of visitors for the launch night of Uncertainty Playground – our series of exhibitions and events as part of London Design Festival 2017.
The night saw LCC deliver insight into different areas of work by the Screen School and introduced Beyond 2001: New Horizons, an exhibition that explores how activating the archive can creatively enable the development of new work and inform ideas.
Celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the Stanley Kubrick Archive at the University’s Archives & Special Collections Centre, students will produce and show work alongside invited artists and academics that offer new perspectives inspired by archive material from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
A cross-school collaboration celebrating all things screen, the exhibition will be set in motion with accompanying performances, events, panels and workshops, punctuated by screenings for staff and students.
