London College of Communication (LCC) design students were handpicked to exhibit work at the most recent Bilbao Awards, with two honoured by winning awards.

Bilbao Bizkaia Design Festival (B AWARDS), is a conceptual festival celebrating design in the Basque Country and in Bizkaia in particular.

Conceived as an international festival, it aims to promote connections between young design students from all over the world and the Basque productive sector, as well as publicising Basque design in international circles.

B AWARDS adopts the format of a design competition, creating spaces and building bridges to encourage Basque students to contact and interact with up-and-coming young talents in the design world.

The festival is also an opportunity to showcase the work of these future designers to a jury made up of internationally acclaimed talents as well as prominent figures from the Basque design and creative world and the Basque productive environment.

Alongside LCC, other Universities entering work include Beckmans College of Design (Sweden), Kyoto Institute of Technology (Japan), Politécnico di Milano (Italy), Mondragon Unibertsitatea (Basque Country), Tecnun: Universidad de Navarra(Basque Country), UPV/EHU Universidad del País Vasco, (Basque Country).
