With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we’re giving London College of Communication’s final-year undergraduates the chance to meet their perfect match. On Wednesday 19 February, the Students’ Union and LCC are collaborating to present the ultimate speed-dating event with top industry professionals.

Attendees can enjoy undisturbed one-to-one conversations with professional counterparts working in the same field, discussing their career options, plans for the future and how to succeed. This is a chance to ask for advice and tips, gain contacts and maybe even a job offer!

Confirmed attendees include designer and UAL Chair of Visual Communication Scott King, whose clients have included Pet Shop Boys and Morrissey; director of collaborative art organisation Fred & Company and UAL Chair of Interactive Digital Arts Fred Deakin; and Nick Bell, UAL Chair of Communication Design and founder and creative director of Nick Bell Design.

Also attending are London Design Festival founder Sir John Sorrell, BBC news journalist Pooneh Ghoddoosi, animator Paul Donnellon, script consultant Britt Harrison, Mike Coley of publishers Belly Kids, events manager for the creative industries Jade Coles, the Royal Academy of Arts‘ marketing team, photographer and art editor Raven Smith and graphic designer Ana Marques.

The event will run from 4-8pm, opening with a panel chat on a topic selected by students. After the panel discussion, students will be able to meet up to two industry professionals of their choice for 20-30 minutes each. This can include a portfolio viewing if appropriate.

All interview slots will be booked in advance. When students are not engaged in interviews, they will have time to meet other undergraduates in the same boat, getting their creative juices flowing and making peer connections for the future.

Please note this event is for final-year students only.
