Biography
Steve Cross has been part of London College of Communication since 2009, working as Course Leader, Programme Director, Dean of the Media School, and now as Interim Provost.
Steve is also the College lead for Research and Knowledge Exchange and chair College Research and Knowledge Exchange Management Group, attending the UAL Research Committee, and Professorial Sub-Committee.
Prior to joining LCC, Steve taught and worked at Goldsmiths college, London School of Economics and Middlesex university.
Steve’s background is in the sociology of media, communication and culture. His current research interests include ‘deep mediatisation’ and he is currently writing on the relationship between contemporary media forms and religious practice.
Whilst at LCC, Steve has established ongoing partnerships with the Hong Kong university SPACE and has led on the College’s contribution to the UAL Global Pavilion at the Hong Kong British Council’s Spark Festival in 2019.
