Katja Mayer is a Visiting Practitioner on MA Commercial Photography at London College of Communication. She is a German-born fashion photographer, director and artist currently based in London.
Katja graduated from the MA Photography at LCC in 2011, and has been worked since then as a gallery technician, set design assistant, agent, post-production coordinator and creative retoucher.
Katja’s fashion work has been published widely in magazines such as Beauty Papers, CR Fashion Book, Dazed&Confused, Harper’s Bazaar, Interview Magazine, Numéro and T Magazine. Her practice typically sits at cross section of fashion and art. Katja’s commercial clients include Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton and MiuMiu.
Katja also works with moving image and her debut film for ShowStudio was nominated for Best Director at the Milan Fashion Film Festival.
Katja teaches as a Visiting Lecturer across a number of courses at University of the Arts London and University for the Creative Arts.
