In a new film commissioned on the occasion of the exhibition, Artist Faisal Abdu’Allah introduces ‘Facets of a Community’, a new project and exhibition devised especially for Camberwell Space, the public gallery at Camberwell College of Arts.
For this exhibition, selected by Hew Locke, Faisal Abdu’Allah is collaborating with the local community in and around Camberwell College of Arts to create a project titled ‘Facets of a Community’. Working with Bishop Thomas Grant School in Streatham, and Golden Oldies elders project in Walworth, as well as with students from Camberwell College of Arts, and photographers Kristóf Szentgyörgyváry and Mike Whelan, Abdu’Allah will create a dynamic exhibition that explores what it means to be part of a community.
