Creative Journeys: Shaping your career at UAL (Undergraduate)

  • Time
Ever wanted to know how the experience of an Undergraduate degree at University of the Arts London shapes your career?

If you're considering an undergraduate degree at UAL but are unsure what career paths it can lead to, this is a talk for you.

We'll take you through how UAL's Careers and Employability service, as well as other programmes, events and opportunities, could shape your career. We'll also give examples of how students can make use of the wider UAL community to experiment, explore and venture into new areas of their creative journey.

The talk will cover opportunities open to you as a UAL undergraduate, followed by a conversation with an Alumni about their experiences and how they made the most of their time studying with us.

Our speaker
Bhairavi Yogasivam is a BA Architecture graduate from Central Saint Martins. During her time at UAL, she began exploring her interest in illustration and visual storytelling as a way to communicate architectural ideas, which unexpectedly led her into product design through a live brief with not just a shop.

She is now working on an exciting project with Chelsea College of Arts, helping to redesign a guest flat, using products and designs created entirely by UAL students and graduates. Approached as a collaborative, collective archival project, the work brings together a range of practices and documents process and making. Through this, Bhairavi continues to explore collaboration and alternative pathways through and beyond undergraduate study, sharing her journey from architecture into multidisciplinary design.

There will be time at the end of the talk for some Q&As.
