This year’s theme for National Student Money Week is Navigate the numbers: coping with the cost of living crisis.

Throughout the week we will be sharing information and content about money management and support at UAL. We’ve also got a great programme of events lined up for you to take a deeper dive into your finances and get tailored advice and support from our teams.

What’s on?

Starting on Monday 27 February, we’ll be running a series of online events covering a wide range of topics, including how to apply for funding, making money as an arts student, your accommodation rights and how to build good money habits.

In addition to our online workshops, the Student Advice Service will be running pop up stalls on site during the week of 6 March.

Drop by to find out more about what support is available and ask questions in person.

Listen

UAL Student Voices podcast is a great way to hear in-depth accounts of student experience. Here are a couple we recommend listening to this week...

  • Jyullia: MA Industrial Design shares how she found the strength to overcome hardships while juggling work and studies, and how she has grown as a designer in the process.
  • Alex and Jerome: MA Fashion Design Technology (Menswear) discuss their vision for the future of menswear and how to fend off imposter syndrome. Alex also talks about how he saved for a year to get to College and how a UAL scholarship helped support his costs, without which "it wouldn't have been possible, really, for me to be here and to afford the collection."
