Central Saint Martins building access

On this page you will find information about the opening of Central Saint Martins for the remainder of the spring term and Easter break. We will publish more information about arrangements for the summer term in due course.

The remainder of the spring term (until 26 March)

Access to buildings and facilities

Our King's Cross site will be open until 26 March, Monday–Friday, 10am–4pm. You should enter via the Granary Square entrance. Please ensure that you remember to bring your student ID card. If you have not yet received your ID card, or you need to request a replacement card, please contact your Programme Administrator.

Our Archway site will be open until 26 March on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10am–4pm for Foundation students.

Please note that non CSM students / collaborators aren’t allowed into the building at the moment for health and safety reasons.

Workshops

Undergraduate and Postgraduate students will need to make a booking to use our workshops at the King's Cross site. On the CSM Technical Moodle you can find information on how to book, how to access technical support and learning online, and practical advice for all workshop practices.

For Foundation students, Archway workshops will be available and there will be access to limited technical support, subject to demand and availability of staff.

Studios

Undergraduate and Postgraduate students can make a booking to use our studio spaces at King's Cross. The number of people in individual studios will be managed to carefully in order to maintain social distancing. Please be flexible if you are asked to move to another space.

Library and Learning Zone

All students can book a space in the Learning Zone and Library study spaces.

Loan store

The Loan Store at King's Cross will be open until 26 March, Monday–Friday, 11am–3pm. The period that you loan an item will be extended over the Easter break.

Catering and arts shop

At King's Cross, there will be limited catering provided with only coffee and snacks available. The arts shop and catering service will be open until 26 March, Monday–Friday, 10am–4pm.

At Archway, the arts shop and catering service will be open until 26 March on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10am–4pm.

During the Easter holiday (29 March - 11 April)

We hope you will all have a restful break over the Easter holidays, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming you back for the Summer term. There is no pressure to come into our sites over the holidays, but some of our facilities will be open if you would like to do so.

Workshops

Selected King’s Cross workshops will be open 10am–4pm, 29 March – 1 April, and then closed for the remainder of the Easter break. Please book ahead on the CSM Technical Moodle before coming into College. The following workshops will be open:

Studios

At King’s Cross, the Lethaby Gallery studio space will be open Monday–Friday, 10am–4pm throughout the Easter break, with the exception of the Easter Bank Holiday weekend (Friday 2 – Monday 5 April) when the College will be closed. Please book a space before your visit. Please note this space is for clean work only.

There will be some exceptions to this. Your Programme Administrator will contact you if your course has specific timetabled sessions or studio availability.

Library and Learning Zone 

The Library and Learning Zone will be open Monday–Friday, 10am–4pm throughout the Easter break, with the exception of the Easter Bank Holiday weekend (Friday 2 – Monday 5 April) when the College will be closed. Please book a study space before coming into College.

Loan store, arts shop and canteen 

At King’s Cross, the Loan Store, arts shop and canteen will be closed over the Easter break.

Archway

Our main Archway building will be closed throughout the holidays. The Archway Annexe will be open 10am–4pm, 29 March – 1 April for MA students.
