Our name
London College of Communication.
- Never use 'the' in front of our name.
- Example: At London College of Communication, we transform the world around us by discovering new possibilities in creative communications.
- When communicating internally, to staff and students, we are LCC. Always write LCC in upper case.
- Example: This ensures both staff and students can play an active role in shaping the future of EDI at LCC.
- Externally, use the acronym 'LCC' once you’ve established its meaning by using our full name.
- Example: Journalism and Publishing students at London College of Communication (LCC) have launched Volume 3 of Southwark Food Magazine.

With the UAL brand narrative
There may be times when you have to reference the LCC brand alongside the UAL brand, alongside the wider University:
- Prioritise language which describes LCC, supported by extracts from the UAL brand narrative and messaging pillars to bring clarity to the connection to the University brand.
- Avoid duplication of language between narratives as this can become confusing for audiences.
How we look
Imagery
Imagery is a key part of our brand. So it's important that the imagery we use showcases the best of what we do at LCC:
- the work of our students
- our students at practicing their craft and learning by doing
- our diverse community of students, alumni and staff
- our state-of-the-art facilities
- our part in the community of Elephant and Castle, south London.
We also need to make sure that all imagery includes the correct copyright information and is credited in line with our crediting guidelines.
