Starting Your Own Lingerie or Swimwear Label
This course is aimed at the budding entrepreneur who is looking to start a lingerie or swimwear business. You’ll be taken step-by-step through all the elements of a business start-up and be given practical advice on how to plan effectively for your new business venture. The course will start with discussing your business type, structure, finance and business plan. You’ll then move on to discuss range planning, sourcing production and costing. You’ll leave the course with an awareness of customer requirements as well as a basic understanding of the financial needs to ensure continuity and success when starting your own fashion label.

Beginners. In order to get the most out of this course we recommend that you have a business concept to work from.

Cliff and Linda Taylor are a unique couple whose experience spans all areas of the intimate apparel, swimwear and legwear businesses. They were the founders and directors of their own company Clintextiles Plc, which they started in the mid 1970s. Cliff and Linda had their own London design studio with factories in the Midlands. They designed, manufactured and sold their products throughout the UK, Europe, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, and the USA, servicing Multiple Retail including the Departments, Mail Order, Boutique and Direct Mail. In the wake of the demand for off-shore production, Cliff has worked as a consultant for brands such as, Elle, Ultimo, Playboy, Virgin and companies such as Bluepoint, and The Hatziionnau Group providing business servicing and production outsourcing of Underwear, Swimwear, Hosiery, Socks and Santoni. Linda has extended her specialist knowledge in vra technology, working with companies such as Debenhams, Courtaulds, Gossard, Berlei, and Shock Absorber.
