Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon (CCW) and London College of Communication (LCC) Academic Support are excited to announce that they will soon be launching their new podcast series, created by students and staff from LCC and CCW.

The podcast explores art and design students’ beliefs around resilience and other learning development-related topics in a higher education setting. The themes discussed relate to the impact on students of the COVID-19 pandemic and current living circumstances such as the drastic rise in the cost of living and the climate emergency. We will also discuss themes of social justice and the power of community for combating social injustices.

With these themes in mind, the podcast explores how students and higher education institutions can best manage our responses to a significantly altered educational landscape. One that takes its toll on students’ academic success, mental wellbeing and feelings of social connection and belonging.

Students and staff across the LCC and CCW Colleges tell their stories of navigating the ups and downs of life at university and beyond, discussing what they have learned from their experiences, and what they feel is important to share with others.

We hope that hearing such stories will inspire others to consider their own academic journeys and how to make them better.

The podcast will be available via Academic Support Online from 21 October.
