Funding applications for the Turing Scheme have now opened!

Students who will be travelling abroad as part of their course, to take part in a Study Exchange or a Work Placement in the 2025/26 academic year, will now be able to apply for a grant through the Turing Scheme.

Successful students will receive a cost-of-living grant to help with their expenses while abroad, with travel grants also offered to disadvantaged students who are eligible under the Turing criteria.

The new funding period runs between 1 September 2025 - 31 August 2026. Mobilities should last a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 12 months within this period in order to be eligible for funding.

Applications should be made at least 1 month before the start date of the mobility.

Applications are competitive and funding is not guaranteed. However, students from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds who meet the Turing Scheme’s criteria will be prioritised in the selection process.

Students must arrange all study or work placements through their College Mobility and Placement teams. Once the study exchange/work placement has been approved and finalised, students will be directed to the funding application. Submitted applications will be assessed for eligibility by the UAL Global Mobility Team.
