Digital Fashion Week NY explores the shifting realities of fashion at each touchpoint throughout the design process, as seen through the optics of IRL X URL. The curated Fashion Tech expo celebrates the voice of design leaders at the vanguard of artistic, creative technologies influencing the future of the fashion industry. From fashion design to supply chains, AR, virtual shopping and retail technology. DFWNY explores the point at which fashion exists - on the verge of the real and the virtual world.Are you an artist or designer with a point of view that you want to share with the fashion world?

There are many opportunities for you to play a role in this season’s virtual show;

• Share your content with DFWNY by submitting links to your very best ideas and contributions to the field.
• Apply to participate in the student presentations.
• See your work featured in a virtual show and network with industry insiders.

Categories for submission:

Digital catwalk (animation)

Artists will create a conceptual animation to promote a fashion item(s) using 3D skills and animation. All artwork should be original, owned by the “participant” and include appropriate acknowledgement of all artists included in the making of the animation. The Digital Catwalk can be presented as either a conventional catwalk (in 3D) or a conceptual “movie” introducing fashion in an imaginary world. Animations should be at least 2 minutes in length.

Editorial 3D design

Artists will submit 10-15 looks from their digital lookbook collected together in an mpeg of 1-2 minutes. Artwork will also be submitted as separate images.  All artwork should be original, owned by the “participant” and include appropriate acknowledgement of all artists included in the making of the artwork.

Deadlines and how to apply:

• Student application deadline: 31 March 2021 (extended deadline for students from the 25 March deadline outlined in the information sheet).
