Regardless of your summer plans, our Libraries and Student Support teams are still here to support you.
Library Services
Libraries are not just for term-time! If you’re a library fan like we are, you will be pleased to know that our libraries, learning zones and archives are open all summer. There’s lots to take advantage of, so make sure to find out more about accessing libraries this summer.
If you are leaving for summer (or becoming UAL alumni), please make sure you return your library books before you go.
Student Services
Student services are available over the summer for students planning to continue their studies in September:
Need urgent support?
If you have a serious emergency over the holidays, call emergency services (999 in the UK) immediately or visit our out of hours support page to find someone to speak with. If you're an international student, you may also want to get in touch with your embassy or consulate for help.
Togetherall
As we come to the end of the academic year, it’s understandable that you might be feeling a bit burnt out. Remember that you can access Togetherall 24/7 over summer. Whether you just need someone to chat to during the holiday, or you have some more time to dive deeper into some of the challenges you’ve been facing. Togetherall courses that might be useful at this time include:
Academic support
For many, summer is a time to disconnect from university and have fun. However, if your course continues throughout summer, you’re engaging in extra summer courses or work, or have a major project starting once you get back, remember that you can always use Academic Support Online (ASO). Explore resources, Q&As, and book tutorials, to expand and support your learning.
Language support
If you need additional support or want to practice your language skills during the summer, the Language Centre have plenty to offer.
- Our self-study online English course will help you with the speaking, reading, writing and listening skills you need for your course subjects. To access the course, search 'Language Development' on your Moodle course page.
- Language Development tutorials continue in the summer holidays. Book a tutorial to help with language for presentations, written reports, crits and research proposal skills. More tutorials are released each day for the following week so make sure to check regularly.
- Our Student Language Exchange Board is active year-round! Stay connected with others over summer in a fun and social way by exchanging languages. If you have any issues using the padlet board, email language@arts.ac.uk
