Library Services supports students throughout the summer across all our libraries, learning zones and archives.
Your library books
If you are leaving for summer, please make sure you return your library books before you go to avoid them getting lost in moves or travel.
If you are finishing your course at UAL you can use the collection boxes in halls of residence and at your graduation ceremonies to return library items. You can also return items to any UAL library of your choice.
The library is online all the time!
Even if you are not studying this summer you can access our collections for a bit of light holiday reading, keeping up to date with your subject area, or for wellbeing support.
If you are leaving UAL you will no longer have access to all our online collections. Read our guide on resources for alumni.
Ask us a question
Our librarians work all summer and can help with finishing coursework, preparing for next year or accessing our collections. Contact us if you have questions, just ask at our desks or online using live chat. Find out more about library services at UAL or contact Your Academic Support Librarian.
Library spaces
We are open all summer. Our libraries and learning zones have shorter opening hours so check the website before you set out. The Learning Zone at Camberwell College of Arts is open 24/7 all year round.
If you are leaving UAL you can book appointments to visit the libraries as an alumni.
View our library opening hours.
Archives and Special Collections
UAL also has a dedicated Archives and Special Collections Centre (ASCC). Contact us to arrange a visit.

Have a fantastic summer, we hope to see you in our spaces soon!
