This Green week we’ll be taking the opportunity to talk about ‘everyday sustainability’ and what you can do to make a big difference in moving UAL to a greener place for work and study.
Talking about our water use
This week we're welcoming one of our water suppliers, Affinity for Business, who will be touring some of our sites to talk to staff and students about water consumption and providing useful tips on water conservation. Drop by and say hello – there’ll even be some interesting information on how much water we use across our sites at UAL. You can find them at the following sites at these times:
Wednesday 12th February
9.30am – 12.30pm: Camberwell College of Arts, Peckham Road Canteen
2pm – 4pm: London College of Communication
Thursday 13th February
9am – 11am: London College of Fashion, High Holborn
1pm – 3pm: Chelsea College of Arts
Useful or Beautiful Challenge - Season 3 - Take up the challenge!
Our annual design and creation challenge is back! Useful or Beautiful is designed to highlight how discarded and abandoned bits of materials or items can find a new lease of life – even if you have to think a little creatively to make it happen.
If you think you can take something that’s been discarded and turn it into an artistic masterpiece or something a bit more functional then get in touch, we want to hear from you. Towards the end of the week we’ll be hearing more from two of our Sustainability Interns who’ll be updating us on their progress and sharing their thoughts on the scheme and Sustainability at UAL.
