Get Living and Multiplex are collaborating with local artists and communities to repair, reposition, redress and replant 13 timber planters in Elephant and Castle.

To celebrate the diverse cultural fabric of Elephant and Castle, the planters will be decorated with artwork from the local community as part of the theme Cultural Mosaic – and LCC students have been invited to submit artwork which will be displayed alongside public and community art.

The community project is calling for digital submissions which will be scanned and stitched together to create a tapestry along the side of the planters in Autumn 2024. All displayed work will be credited with the contributor's full name and organisation. Each planter will feature a plaque for recognition, accompanied by a QR code that provides access to the artwork.
