UAL does not allow smoking or e-cigarettes on any of its premises, grounds or in its vehicles – including around the entrances to all University property.
This applies to all staff and students, as well as visitors to University premises.
Smoking is also not allowed in student bars or other commercial areas of the building, in common areas, or in University accommodation.
The University has a statutory and common law duty to protect staff, students and visitors from the health risks associated with passive smoking.
At LCC, we ask that students do not smoke outside the main entrance, and also do not smoke near to College windows. Smoke regularly enters the building via open windows and affects workspaces for both students and staff.
If you wish to smoke, please only do so away from the main entrance and from windows, such as on the benches in the centre of the patio area.
Thank you for your understanding.
