Develop your proposal, build your confidence, share your practice: Proposal writing workshop for the Creative Education Festival.

Overview

In the lead up to UAL's Creative Education Festival (formerly the UAL Education Conference), we are hosting drop-in workshop sessions focussed on developing proposal writing skills. These are led by UAL colleagues who are experienced in crafting and delivering successful conference proposals and events.

This in-person workshop offers a supportive space to develop your ideas, build your confidence, and strengthen your proposal. Whether you’re at an early stage or refining a draft, you’ll gain practical guidance to take your idea forward.

This session will be facilitated by Amita Nijhawan (Senior Educational Developer, CSM).

Bio

Amita Nijihawan is a Senior Educational Developer at the University of the Arts London, and a creative writer and dance studies academic. She mentors staff and students in integrating storytelling into academic and artistic practice, viewing writing as a process of discovery. Her work centres on decolonising academic writing, expanding who writes and how, while embedding social justice in education. Amita’s collaborative approach explores power, privilege and connection beyond hierarchy. She is author of the forthcoming Who’s Afraid of Academic Writing. Her research and fiction are widely published, and she has held multiple writer-in-residence roles across the UK.
