Extending this inquiry beyond the exhibition, the *Footnotes Fashion Industry Talk presented by the MA Innovation Management cohort at Central Saint Martins.

*Footnotes: East > West brings together fashion designer Susan Fang and cross-cultural strategist Lang Xiao for a conversation on fashion futures, cultural identity, entrepreneurship and creative leadership.

The event explores how innovation emerges through interdisciplinary practices, cross-cultural experiences, and creative resilience. Through dialogue with graduates from MA Innovation Management, the speakers will reflect on navigating East-to-West creative industries, building values-driven careers, and shaping more human-centred futures for fashion and culture.

The evening will include a panel conversation, audience Q&A, and networking opportunity with creatives, CSM students, and industry professionals across fashion, business, and the arts.

Speakers:
Susan Fang is the founder and creative director of SUSAN FANG, an internationally recognised fashion label celebrated for its innovative fusion of craftsmanship, technology, and storytelling through fashion.

Lang Xiao is a cross-cultural communication strategist and founder of ARTouch Consulting, specialising in building audiences, partnerships, and cultural initiatives that connect leading international cultural institutions, artists, and luxury brands across China and global markets.
