Hailing from Adelaide, Australia, Jeffrey began his journey at UAL studying the International Preparation for Fashion at London College of Fashion, before moving on to Central Saint Martins to study BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and Promotion.

“Before joining UAL, I was intending to study Law. I took a gap year to work and travel, which ultimately ended in me deciding to change my plans and pursue an education in fashion!

I was always interested in fashion growing up and knew I would have to look either inter-state or internationally if I wanted to study in this field. I was already planning to move, so I thought to myself, ‘why not move to the best place to study fashion – London –  and apply to arguably the best fashion university in the world?!’

Both my foundation course and BA have really helped me prepare for a career in industry. I’ve learned to always take the initiative and work as hard as I can to achieve the best outcomes for every job or project. UAL has taught me that nothing in this industry is a job you do alone.

“The highlight of my experience so far would be the opportunities to really explore and experiment in my work with like-minded people from all over the world.”

At UAL you're always working with other creatives. It's not about going solo. It's about finding people who think similarly (or differently!) to you and working with them to create exciting and innovative projects. You get so many opportunities, from the wealth of knowledge of course tutors and the incredible libraries, to the facilities and amazing technicians on campus.

You've only got a short amount of time at UAL, so make the most of it, because you'll never be in a more open, flexible, nurturing and encouraging environment again!"
